photoshop - select multiple layers

Hi

I was reading earlier this week about how to sharpen an image after doing pp on it. It said once you ahve made changes select "Copy Merged" and then paste as a new layer, this will incorpoarte the layers you selected into one.

How do I select multiple layers to do this?

Probably very obvious, but after a glass on wine - to toast the fact its sunday my mind is blank.

I use 'Select / All' then 'Edit/Copy Merged' then 'Edit/ Paste'

Use a shift-click or a ctrl-click to select multiple layers.
