Went to Mark Cleghorn's "Monkey Business" Seminar today and came away with some cracking stuff. Some business ideas I'll be working on and a preview of some of the goodies in CS5. Content aware fill is AWESOME!!
I've also just renewed my subscription to Phototraining4U.
If you have not yet had a look, it's a great site. Yes you need to pay but you can pay an annual fee of £199 for the first year and £99 for the second. But you also get £100 to spend at Loxley's in the first year and I think there may be another smaller amount in year two.
You can also join using a monthly payment.
For that you have access to over £300 short training films (about 20 mins each) Subjects include studio lighting, speedlights, posing, business ideas, shooting skills.....There is also a freeview section with films that Mark did for Lastolite.
Not everyone can get along to a local college to undertake regular classes and this allows you do pick up what you want, when you want. OK, you don't get a qualification from it but there is loads of great content. Not much for the landscape shooter but there is some new stuff from Andy Rouse on wildlife. (Not a huge amount of content for you guys though) If you shoot people then it's a great way to learn.
