Pic(s) you took today - an open thread

Is this normal? I thought the chimney was supported by the chimney brest not the roof timbers.
It looks like a fibreglass decorative flue.
As it is positioned in the photo, two of the timbers go through the middle of the chimney, it would be pretty useless for a normal fire.

I didnt even know they did fiberglass ones. You learn something every day. (y)

Just the view.

This white memorial caught my eye as it was picked out by the sun. It reminded me that the grieving process involves grief but there is hope and even love and beauty in places like this.

Carpet or even a blanket of leaves.

I really must stop playing around and start learning properly lol.
There's nothing wrong with "playing around"
You may discover settings that you wouldn't have previously.
Also, its easy to get in a rut, with processing or camera settings.

Does pushing the button on CCTV count as a picture I took today? I hope so :D

I was excited to see a hedgehog who's been visiting us for months. He hadn't come for about four night so we thought he'd hibernated but he turned up tonight. I put a sachet of dog food out for him and he ate it all so I put another out and he ate some, disappeared down the lawn then came back and finished it off :D

Here he is. Zoomed in to 100% so it's a bit mushy but we can see him :D
