A few kind souls (yes you at the back oh Green One) had asked for some pics from the Leica D-Lux4 that I bought a couple of weeks ago.............well, I finally managed to get out in Manchester with it today. I don't claim to be any good at this "street" lark, I'm far too old for a start but I am impressed with the way this little baby handles light. So here's my feeble attempts..

I've tried to include some different subjects and techniques and I don't claim any of these are any good, just what I got pretty straight from the camera, no crops just some B&W actions.

Nice tonal quality----Enjoy.
Pete.

No sharpening on these at all, just B&W straight from JPEG.

I'm loving it ;)

Ali

I can just see 6 pairs of image tags with a missing picture icon in between each. Have they been moved?

EDIT: I think its the internet police blocking on my works pc -ok viewed at home :bonk:

Thanx Ali... and about time too... ...

I am liking the output from your new baby Ali... ... not at all feeble attempts and the D-Lux 4 really looks like an excellent all-rounder with great light scope... a very loveable capable beast would you say... a bit like me really... :D

I have been keeping tabs on prices and am right on the edge... :naughty: ... especially with Harrisons coming it at under 500 squids... albeit without a card but I have plenty of those... :D

What am I waiting for I hear you ask... :cuckoo:

#2 Gordon Ramsay

#5 Hugh Fernley-Whittingstal

 ...How true is that...

:p

You can tell Gordon Ramsay he looks like a gay hairdresser and HFW that he looks like a girl.............they have big knives.........big sharp knives. :)

I liked No5 because it has managed blacks and whites and although the subject is backlit it has not overexposed. Very clever little box and so discrete after a 1Ds!

I didn't even realise I wanted one of these until you started talking about it.

:bat:

Looks like a great bit of kit.

:D

AND it's actually really good at macro too Colin. Superb for those wedding ring shots :)

Sorry, that's not helping is it? :)
