Taken in Yarner Woods a few days ago, whilst down in Devon. There are several pairs nesting here and flying about the woods in search of food.

Taken handheld with a Canon 50D and 100-400mm lens.

Lovely photo. I have never seen one of these yet, had spotted fly catchers nesting in our porch for many years but they did not arrive last year or this :-(

I think they're attracted to the flies that follow me around They're beautiful birds to watch though, so agile in catching the flies.

great shot Pete saw some of those in Wales but couldn t get close enough for a good shot they are a beautiful bird to watch
