Help..........................I am having one of those stupid days where I can't get my head around anything.

I currently have a site running with Photium but am finding it does not really suit me. I have been looking into Pixelpost as I don't feel I need a proper site as I don't make money from my togging (I am more a hobby tog).

I want to gie pixelpost a play but I haven't a clue where to start. I have had a read through the threads on here but what I could really do with is an idiots guide or at least a shove in the right direction.

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

It doesnt sound like what you are after. It is software installed on the server where your website is stored, so if you dont want a full website then this is even worse to setup.
If on the other hand you can get someone to set it up for you then it should be better for you.

Oh ok.................with Photium just log in and change the stuff I need to. I have just seen some cracking pixelpost sites out there and they look so much better than what I have.
Still interested in knowing how to set pixelpost up though.

It doesnt get much more simple than the documents here.
You need a website that allows you to install applications (not sure if you can with Photium) then you'll need to follow the instructions linked.

I am using Pixelpost to host my site - and to begin it was awkward and very technical - prior to doing this however what i did was set up a blog and edited the template that site can be found HERE
if all you want to do is show off your pics that is ;)

Pixelpost is a PHP Photoblog - you will need webspace with a webhost that supports PHP/MySQL

It is fairly simple to install and use, however it may be overkill for what you need.

I am seriously considering giving up on my own site and sticking with Flickr - the Pro account is cheaper than my webspace/domain name per year, plus it is simple to upload pics and manage them - without the need for coding

Feel free to have a look at my site - which runs on pixelpost with my own template design.

If you want to spend more time web designing than taking photos then Pixelpost is for you
