PixelStick Portraits

I quite like this effect.
But that is only because it's done well.
My worry is that it will become the new wirespinning, and everyone will end up posting some really crap efforts, which we will all become so sick of.

But for now, I like it !

Thanks, I only want to create images where the light painting and subject/scene work together in harmony :)

Dan,

Of all the pictures no3 is my fav. Nice b&w processing and background.

For me #1 and #2 are particularly good, in #1, the shapes around your wife's head are spot on, in #2 I think the colours and ribbon effect some how suit her

Very effective, so much so that you've wrapped her in light in the last image. Lighting is well balanced in them all.

I don't think pixelstick images will ever become the new wire-spinning due to the high cost of the kit in the first place - Pixelstick has been around for a while already, but there are very few images appearing.

Andy Wilson has some really effective images with Minions in them.

Wow, I didn't realise how much the sticks cost !
In that case, I think I was wrong about the "new wirespinning".
And for that, I'm glad. I'm happy to see more of this when it's done this well.
