Was playing around today with my new Sigma 150-500 lens.

Took this in the daylight, thought it looked quite cool, so tweaked it a bit to darken the sky and bring the detail out a little more.

Not really a serious photo, just me having fun, but I quite like the way it turned out. Any thoughts, comments, criticisms, plain old "that's crap" or anything else welcomed :)

Manual settings: 1/500 F/8 ISO160 (Auto ISO), 500mm hand held.

Looks great to me. Very impressive shot. How much is that cropped?

I've been thinking of getting that lens. Seems a bargain.

Cropped from 4800 x 3200 (1.3x crop mode on the D7100) to 1602 x 1145

So far been very impressed with the lens even at the far end, although struggling a bit with lower light/higher ISOs but not had much chance to play with it seriously yet. Hoping for a nice bright sunny day on Sunday when I take it out for a proper test drive ;)

Had another go at night last night, looked out the window and the moon looked particularly bright so popped into the garden with the camera.

Next to no processing on this, cropped and sharpened a little.

1/500 F/8 ISO800 500mm (full manual with auto iso)
