Playing with Macro

Spent an hour playing with my Macro lens. Can't take credit for the idea, but thought I would give it a go.


I preffer the black background in the first, bur does it look over sharpened? Not that much sharpening applied - or is it just the bubbles??

The main processing in the first is to punch up the blacks to get a black background and I spotted out a few hotspots from the flash.

I prefer the grey background out of the 2!
Think it makes the colours look more vibrant!

CAn I ask what you used to create the bubbles on the pencils?

The background was the hardest to get right.
