PLEASE can anyone help?

I have a problem when I down load files say a zip file I see the folder with the files in and can look inside and see the files but I can not open anything its as if the folder is empty.
I have run Hijackthis and have the log can anyone help please

Are you saying that you can click on the zip file and it then shows the files inside the zip??
Do you create a Download Folder and download them all to this Folder

yes have download folder and the zip downloads to it I see the zip folder and it look as if it all in there but when you try to extract it it reports empty.

windows 7 let you see in to the folder and i also click to extract but it reports empty the ode this is if I say open Adobe Reader and go to look for the read me in the zip it do not even see the zip?

sounds like the zip file may have downloaded incomplete.. does the size report different to the site you got it from?

also try winrar for opening it

just tried a PKzip to open them and this works?? cant understand what going on

As suggested by Neil try WinRAR. Looks like the Win7 extraction wizard does not like the file type.
