Beginner Please can someone advice me? PSD and PS

Hi, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to photoshop. I decided to get creative and have a go at Colour Popping and was successful. However my problem is that the images only save in PSD and PS ( I'm not sure what that means) but unfortunately my images will only open up in Photoshop and I can't upload them on anything else, pleas can someone advise me, I know they is a simple way round this its just that I can't remember what to do.

Perhaps try "Save As" and choose an export format.

Hi Jane, select 'save as' then under the 'file name' you should see 'format', there should be an option to save as 'j-peg' in the drop down box

Make sure the image is in 8-bit not 16, and flatten any layers into one. Then try saving it as what you want.
