Please could you help me? - laptop

I'd like a laptop mainly to take on hols so I can download pics and put CS4 & ZoomBrowser on it to do a bit of pp. Also, I'd like to browse the web whilst I'm away, so I'd have to get dongle, probably 3G. All my shots would be in raw, not jpegs.

I've seen this computer and as I don't know much about laptops really, I was wondering if anyone could let me have their thoughts and comments on this:

how much are you thinking of paying for it, there's a review below but if the spec is correct a 40gb HD isn't very big by todays standards, the user reviews don't exactly inspire confidence either

Looking through completed listings it's likely to make £150+ as 60gb HD models with 1gb of ram have made that amount, this has a 120Gb HD and 2Gb of ram so i'd think it'll go for a little more.

Reading through the listing he doesn't mention warranty so i'd presume it has none, questions i'd ask are is he a business seller, does it come with any warranty, does the OS come with a certificate of authenticity so it's a legal copy.

personally i'd avoid ebay for secondhand laptops , not sure of your budget but i suspect theres better out there for the money

if you're looking for an ultra portable netbook for holidays this seems like an OK deal, not sure how it'd run photoshop though

Acer Aspire one £50 off pink only works out at £195 inc delivery but it does have 12 months warranty only an 8.9" screen though

i think you've hit the nail on the head , something cheap and portable may not be upto the demands of photoshop

I asked him why some of the specs I'd seen on google (for this model) didn't seem to match the specs his laptop had. This is his reply:

NC6220 is a business model laptop. Like a business dell its custome made to your specification. These are not like pc world models where all are the same. These are ordered directly from HP.
No upgrades have been done.

Oooops, forgot to say, thanks for the comments on it not being up to photoshop. It's vital that the laptop I get can handle that.

this lot sometimes come up with some decent secondhand laptops and at least they have 3 months warranty

I am also considring one to Samsung NC-10, NC-20, Acers One, HP2133 (fantastically cheap but gets hot)....most of these should run photoshop, but not much else, that is they can only best do one thing at a time.
