Ive just bought an IR filter and have tried it on my 50d for a 30 second exposure and a 1 min exposure. When ive looked at the pics in the digi display they are predominantly red. What do i do?
 
shoot only in raw open the file as the red file in either lightroom or photoshop, use the white balance selector tool to pick the whitle balance on your image, you now have the choice of making the image black and white or doing a channel swap for that fake blue sky look, I can help you achieve both so let me know what your after
 
sorry, just to clarify the image will always look red in camera, look at your histogram to check youve no blown highlights but you wont see a finished product like this for eg until youve messed in photoshop..
