.... ok budget of around £50 max, im looking for good sound quality headphones\earphones. Links would be appreciated. What do you peeps use??? Would be only used on iPhone

Thanks guys! More ideas peeps...............

Save yourself buckets of money, Sennheiser CX300-II Precision ECO Headphones... £12 from play.com... They are amazingly good, the bass on them is incredible, definitely up there with the Bose etc which are far too expensive.

Best earphones ive ever used, even better than Bose (i think), and they are tough little things too... Worth the money and save yourself loads too...

Full volume with Lil' Wayne playing is brilliant! lol.

Try these..

Soundmagic PL30. About £25-30.
By far the best earphone Ive tried, and Ive tried most of them. I also have a pair of Etymotic 4's that cost £240 and they have been banished to the drawer.
They are quite bassy, but have adjustable bass, so you can tone it down.
They also do the PL50, that is more vocal based.

I use the PL30's for monitoring my drum kit, my bass guitar and just for the ipod. They handle it all with ease.

Thanks for all your thoughts guys!

In that case check out the Sony Extra Bass range or XB otherwise known. Superb sound rendition and perfect base - doesn't distort or lose any other freq's.

Good price too! Most HMV's have the around ear version to try in store.

I have got the in ear version for out and about, and the around ear for prolonged office use. Superbly comfortable too in both instances.

Yup love my CX300's :D

Shure are the people that make the headphone that they use on Top of the Tops and Jools Holland etc.. for the artists. Not these ones I have to say, but same company.

If you can manage another £400, these are good ;) http://www.shure.co.uk/products/earphones/se535

I've been through a few pairs of Shures along the way and I've not been so impressed with their lower-end offerings.

The Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Pros I had last were expensive, lovely, but a bit delicate for daily use. I think the model has been superseded now.

However, I've been more than happy with the Atrio M5s I've had for the last year and a half. Single drivers, but they are very good single drivers (on a par with the UE double drivers) and have proven quite tough on my daily commute. Pair them with Shure Olive buds for the best performance IME. About £100.

please dont buy skullcandy, we're a reseller so get them cheap and i would touch them with someone elses bargepole.

senn's all the way.. cant beat them for build and sound quality. personally ive got the HD25-1 ii but theyre outside of your budget.

watch ebay though, its littered with fakes for a lot of brands.

Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Pros are superb. I actually got my last set for £50 and they are superb. You can get a version that have a microphone in for use with the iPhone in.

Sennheiser are excellent and Goldring are quite good in ear ones. You tend to loose base with in ear ones I find unless you have very expensive ones. Take a look at the ones What HiFi recommend, I've always found there recomendations to be spot on.

Oh, Grado are very, very good but there a little big for portable use I think. For £60 though they are the dogs.

Blimey! That is a good price.

Thanks for all your input peeps! So many to look at and choose from

As others have said Sennheiser are always a safe bet, but be very careful where you get them from, some traders don't even know they're selling fakes, they're that good and prolific.

In terms of value for money - Id recommend JVC Marshmallow's they're only about £10-15 and brilliant sound quality - definitely on a par with my Sennheisers

Klipsch are pretty good, and amazon has some good deals on them.

I have a pair of KOSS "spark plugs" and they are best earphones I have ever owned.
