I went for a walk around a lake today (in between the rain) and saw these - I think I've got their IDs right, do correct me if I'm wrong

Both are good and well composed but lower vantage points suit these birds nicely, however I appreciate that it is not always possible.

Thanks, good idea, I'll give that a go next time - couldn't have tried it today though as it was soaked everywhere
