Pocket Wizard...power?

I got myself a Pocket Wizard kit earlier in the year (MiniTT1, AC3 & TT5 combo)

As we all know the little coin-cell in the TT1 isn't common and can take notions of providing power on demand.

I bought a cable from WEX I'm under the impression powers the TT1 from the camera rather than relying on it's own battery
When it came yesterday I tried it out - and it won't even fire with the test button or either camera (D3 or D800)

Has anyone encountered this?

I don't think you can do this. There no power out for accessories on the d3 or d800. You need to power the tt1 from its battery. What lead have you bought?

Exactly what problem are you having firing the flash using the battery on the TT1 ?

The cable is supposed to eliminate using the battery, powering it from the 10pin connection on the body.

The TT1 will blink green when the cable is connected but will not trigger the TT5's on the flashes
I've tried this with and without the battery on both cameras

WEX put me onto Johnsons Photopia, who I contacted today. They suggest it's a faulty cable :( so it's on it's way back for a replacement
