A tall order perhaps but my brother and I are looking for something fairly basic for my dad to take to parties and weddings etc. Its a tight as a tiger budget but all recommendations welcome, cheers

Lots of options really,at that price..I have a very basic sony that cost me 90 quid and is is ideal for this sort of thing, also good if you dont want it geting wreacked at a gig or some drunken night.

which sony was it? yeah there are plenty of options but it'd be nice to have some ideas from people who've used them and possibly use higher end kit as well

Have a look here on the fuji website at their refurb. stock you will struggle to spend as much as £100.

If you dont mind second hand I picked up a Canon 710is off ebay a few months ago and have been really pleased with it
