Polarising filters

I know Lee filters are pretty much the best, however for those on a limited budget looking for a circular polarising filter are Hoya Pro1 still best in the economy range?

Only need a 52mm at the moment and probably not wanting to mess around with step up rings etc and it's just to get me started again, so any advice appreciated!

Hoya filters are still very popular have use the cheaper end and found them ok,
they will certainly get you up and running.
Agree did not want to mess about with step rings.

Beware of fakes, and generally avoid hoya pro1D (fragile). All the other mentioned here should be fine.

P.S. They mostly only cause mess when shooting outside with wider lenses. I only mostly use them for interiors now.

Thanks everyone, ended up getting some hoya filters (polariser and nd) screw in filters to get me started. If I buy a bigger lens in the future I'll probably look at some kind of kit Cokin, Lee etc!
