Hi all, can anyone advise on what is the best polarising lens for my canon 50mm 1.8 lens please? I have been looking at Hoya.

Also, are they easy to fit? I have never used one before.

Thanks very much in advance

Hoya are good, you can also get self branded ones at Jessops. filters just screw onto the lens :]

you'll need a 52mm diameter filter.

.. hi

if within budget !!

I got one from f.fordes "here" used mint for £17 +pp

I prefer to use Hoya Pro-1 Digital filters on my lenses, they are decent quality and reasonably priced (especially if you buy second hand.)

I have a 72mm Pro-1 Digital CPL (circular polarising) filter on my Sigma 18-50mm and it works very well. Simple to fit, just screw on to the lens, and then rotate the front of the filter as required. It even has a little arrow to show you the polarising direction.
