Critique Police Chopper

first time trying to photo the chopper with D3100

What lens and settings were used as you Flickr account is set to private so can't look on there?

Yup your shutter is way too high for blur on the blades, I like the pic as is mind so a nice shot there. The d3100 can get some really good shots so you just have to mess with it and see what you come up with.

If you want to take a look on my Flickr page I got quite nice blurred blades on a police helicopter whilst still keeping pretty reasonable sharpness at shutter 125 F11. Just noticed my Flickr link is not listed, they are also on my website, galleries, aviation.
