Yeah, I find bees and wasps really tricky. Have to wait for the odd dozy one.

Very nice, you should see one year ivy bees, I never saw them before this year but in the sun one day in my garden on the ivy there were loads.

I find with bees in the summer, the problem is that I get cooked trying to photograph them as they can cope with the sun a lot better than me.

Thanks again. I think with the right kit, some experimentation and some patience anyone can do this. The key for me was lighting. A decent diffused off camera flash.
