Pont Tal-Hirion

Another "Excellent" landscape style capture Rory, with once again some lovely light.

I've got a book 'Old Bridges of Snowdonia' and I thought I've seen that bridge before.... only that one is a bit further north....

Love the light on your bridge. Pont Tai Hirion strangely doesn't feature in the book, although it does span the whole of Eryri.

I think I've seen the bridge before years back as a print, but it wasnt a patch on this shot. Cracker

Re-read that, I somehow imply the bridge spans the entire national park :eek:ops:...

A fantastic and thought provoking shot.

I cannot help but wonder in amazement how the flipping heck the builder got those last few stones in the middle, the three that act as the keystone,
A wonderful feat of engineering. I can imagine two giant welsh farmers trying to hold up either side while the last center section of the arch was put in.

I very much doubt if that could be built today with what is lying around on the ground.

What is the span of the bridge roughly?

Thanks. It's a very small bridge and the span is only around 12'
