Living in a rural village, with a garden adjoining open farmland, I get get a good variety wildlife visitors to the garden.

However, photographing them has always been a problem, as they quickly move off as soon as I step outside with the camera.

So, I had been thinking about getting some sort of easily erected and taken down tent/hide arrangement.

Not wanting to spend a lot of money on something that would likely only be used now and then in the garden, I looked at the budget options for something that was of pop-up design, just big enough to accommodate me, a tripod, and maybe a chair or stool

I settled on this one (see picture below), at £39 delivered, and have ordered one.

'Cheap & Cheerful', but I reckon it will do the job.

I can now add that I received it this morning, and for the money, I'm very pleased with it.

A bonus is, that having set it up in the garden this afternoon, and installed all the gear, a stool, and me, it proceeded to rain, quite heavy and prolonged.

I had expected to have to grab the gear and make a dash for the house, but to my pleasant surprise, it was completely shower proof.

How roomy is it inside? My 7 years old boy tends to want to go out with me. so would be ideal, if we'd both fit in.

That was indeed the case, as the instructions for doing this were very vague and confusing to say the least, and I struggled to get it back in the bag.

So, I e-mailed the seller, and got a very helpful and prompt reply back, explaining how he does it, and it worked. Packed away in seconds.

The guy says he is going to post a video, showing how to do it the easy way.

He said that he didn't write the enclosed instructions, and agreed they weren't very clear. My guess is that the Chines manufacturer wrote them. (lol).

I would say it would be bit tight, for both of you.

If you were hand-holding the camera, or using a monopod, then it would probably be ok, but a tripod takes up a fair bit of room.

I had the Triopod, camera, and a stool to sit on, and this was quite comfortable, but there wouldn't be room for another body, not even a 7 year old.

Blimey, I'm tempted at that price. Ours is just a suburban garden, but we get loads of wildlife, Even the occasional deer.
 
It is a budget option Patrick, but unless you are going make regular trips to wild and windswept locations, when something more rugged would be the 'order of the day', it is more than adequate, and IMO good value for money.

I'm very pleased with it.
