Lets have some opinions on a portable storage device, last time I looked at getting one some rather unexpected out goings cropped up and scuppered me, but times marched on and I still need a back up drive.

min 120gb and able to handle card dumps from 5d and 5d2.

Hyperdrive's colorspace seemed a good choice last time but I can't find a reliable uk supplier and don't really fancy the idea of having a small item with a delicate hdd inside being transported around the world.

the vosonics seem to be a good deal and a tad cheaper than the hyperdrive too.
Anyone used one?

I've found the epsons to be excellent, but 40Gb is just too small now.

However you could pick one up secondhand, particularly the P2000 and change the drive in it to something more useful.

Personally I've gone to a netbook.

cheers, the cba one is a tad more expensive than the vosonic item and also a bit chunkier, weight and size will be important as it'll be part of my carry on hand luggage.

The canon and epson drives are woefully small and very expensive in comparison

Nice one, :-)

I'd have hated to have bought one and then been told another brand was considered a better option.
