If someone asks to see a link where they can view your work and you send them a link to flickr is this a total mistake or not?

I don't currently have a website and I have seen a job ad where they just say send a link to where we can see your work as a first step.

I would like a website and think I will sort one very soon but right now I don't have the money to pay someone to make a nice one. :'(

As long as you don't just dump all your work on there I can't see it being a problem. Depending on what you have on there in the way of chosen shots maybe create another account and just upload your best shots?

Or create a seperate Set as a slideshow on Flickr and send them the link to that.

I didn't know it was possible to have two accounts. How do you sent another one up? I got my main one through being a BT internet customer a few years ago.

@ Splog - Is it possible to limit what they see to just one part of my flick accout (ie just one set)?

Didn't think of that but I'm guessing just sign up for a new yahoo account. I'd go that way instead of just having a set as it will clearly divide the potentially "bad" photos from your portfolio.

I suppose if I'm only putting a few select images in a new account I don't need a pro one so it should be free.
