Greetings! :)

I'm new to this site and I'm just looking for some tips and advice about photography. I'm not a professional, I'm not even learning, I just take photos for pleasure, but I still enjoy constructive criticism.

I have a link to my most recent photos, from a visit to Portmeirion, where I explored the little village where "The Prisoner" was filmed, as well as the surrounding woods and Dog Cemetary.

These are just some samples: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/JemimaLee/Portmeirion November 2009/IMG_1099.jpg

The full collection of photos can be found here, there are over 200: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v224/JemimaLee/Portmeirion November 2009/

I use a Canon Powershot SX100 IS. It's not the most efficient camera, but it does the job for an amateur like myself.

Welcome to the forums :)

Your pictures seem to be under the forums 800 pixel longest side limit so if you edit the tags from and to .... your pictures will show in the thread.

NIce pics, and what a great place, I have very fond memories of a trip there

I've never seen the estuary with mist, looks much different!

I'm not a fan of posting pics in other peoples threads, but I just have to show you one of mine from last July :D

Hi JemimaLee
Welcome to TP.
Some lovely shots there.

cyclone shot - Great minds...

Really good pics.

Cant wait to see what you do in the future and maybe when you upgrade to a more professional camera.

You'll make Dan jealous if yours stills beat his Films

>Thanks for the tips RobertP, I will have to try that on my next post :)
>I’m afraid I can’t give you directions, Wigster, as I went with Uni and was mostly asleep on the bus lol. All I know is it’s called Portmeirion in North Wales.
>cyclone, your photo is beautiful, you really captured what I was trying to, that tree is so unusual and dynamic!
>Blackknight, Dan and I may be going halves on a Canon Powershot SX1 IS, because yours is really cool and we love it :D Cheers for lending it to us!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments! :)
