A mate of mines missus has asked me if i could get a few shots of my mate and his daughter so she can get a decent shot to frame for fathers day. The tricky bit is she wants it to be a surprise and i have no idea how to create a situation when me whopping out a sizeable camera and snapping away wont raise suspicion.
What also wont help is the fact that he is currently restoring an old car so is always wearing greasy old t-shirts and his daughter will no doubt be running around with half chewed jelly babied in her hair so even if i can come up with a valid reason for turning up out of the blue it will be a waste of time.
I have also been asked to come back, maybe in a month or two for an organised shoot of the whole family. The best i have come up with so far is organising a time to pop over for a quick 'practice' session as they know i am still learning. Possibly i can blag that i want some practice shots to get feedback on before the proper shoot.
What do you think? Funny old situation i know, but does anyone have any better ideas?
