Posing Kingfisher

Another stunning shot. I like the added touch of the coloured reflection.....nice.
 
I've seen a fair few KF shots on here but I have to say that this one beats most,if not all. It's outstanding. I think someone got one drinking Kingfisher beer once-that was a memorable shot too.

I've just called my wife in to look at it - stunning, was the verdict.
 
Like that a lot. Youve got yourself a few unusual poses den which is nice to see.
 
Very unusual to see a Kingfisher on the ground and not on its perch. Great composition with the wings making a left to right diagonal and the Kingfishers body creating the right to left diagonal, this really fills the frame well and is very pleasing to the eye. The stone and water colour of the rest of the photograph sets off the iridescence of the Kingfisher to its best and the bokeh is just enough to enable the viewer to totally focus on the subject.

That is a cracker! I've been looking out for one that apparently resides along the Boyne not far from my home. Not seen him once yet! They're very evasive.
