Power or communication??

I'm pretty much certain to get a 'budget' flash gun and im now stuck between the Yongnuo YN 468 or the YN 560. . .

the way i see it breaking down is the YN 468 has less power but a screen (if this is a bonus im not sure:thinking:) and the will 'talk' to the camera with E-TTL which from what iv read is good for nightclub/ fast paced dark enviro shots when constantly using manual is too much hassle, am i right?:gag:

The YN 560(which is slightly cheaper) that is more powerful and so would be more useful in certain situations? yes?
but no E-TTL. . . :thinking:

i would mainly be experimenting(not sure if i'll like its effects) with for some music and some weigh ins / fight photography that i do for mma (wont be using flash during the fights for the most part )

is my appraisal of the situation correct ? am i missing anything? and what are you recommendations oh' wise and sacred forum?:love:
 
I would suggest, without knowing anything about Canon flashes, that power is nothing without control. I'd get the E-TTL flash, assuming that is Canon's version of Nikon's i-TTL.

For some people the extra power will be necessary but for most I think that letting the camera control it will be much more important.
 
Yeh would make sure you have at least one flash with TTL support. I have yet to get one with P-TTL and wish I did have one fairly often.
 
Thanks guys :D I ordered the yn 468 I guess if I find i need the extra power I'll just buy it as well at that price :)
