Practising Silhouettes

Hi guys,
I was reading a article in digital photographer and thought I would give it a go.

I now they are not great but would like some helpfully advice on how to make them better, while besides don't bother

Additionally I thought it was a good way to practise exposure and aparture.

I like the first one. How you have the silhouette and a shadow on the ground.

They both work well so I hope that you get them posted as Michael correctly said you will get more responses with the images in the thread maximum size permitted is 1024px on the longest edge
