Christine, yes it seems i must get wet if i wish to shoot RU
,
David, get yourself down there, just remember to frame tight if your using the 55-250mm lens, I had a 300 (on a nikon D2h wih a crop factor of 1.5, ie an effective focal length of 450mm ish) and still had to wait for the frame to be filled (gonna buy a 1.4 converter v soon to add some depth). I don't know what the ratio is for your canon cameras, but, though it's tempting to just shoot the action just think about how much of the shot you want, fills the frame.
Must be at least a third .Good luck & look forward to seeing the results
.
Googabu, thanks for your input. I did try a few different ratios for most of the posted shots. I think we have to disagree on #3, I was trying to highlight the halfback's role!, & so only included a unsharp referance of a receiver (#16) to add purpose!!, however, you have your own interpritations which I respect!.
Kelack, well what can i say? you've "been there, done that, got the tshirt". Thanks for the kind words
, I have to say, the "crowd" problem was not the supporters!, (if you look at the pics, there is a fence approx 4m from the pitch), but the Subs,Staff,Medical staff,Trainers,Managers!!!
, IE more people than there was watching the game
(this is getting more like US Football every Season!). I didn't want to hit them with my Monopod because A, they where bigger than me & B, I don't run as fast as them loaded down with cameras etc!!
Kind regards Graham
