Interesting, apparently they also eat bats.
I would imagine they only do it in the absence of their normal diet which looking at the weather in the film is probably pretty scarce.

its too small for a sparrow, looks like redpoll ..a much smaller bird than a house sparrow..
I have seen a great tit taking the chicks out of pied flycatcher nestboxes...quite a aggressive bird...but so is a house sparrow....

I've seen great tits driving other birds away from feeders but nothing like this.
