hi guys long time for me to post on here but i have been just been prescribed glasses for reading, writing, tv, computers, and driving do i need to adjust my camera to suit the eye which is most affected is the left the eye i use to look through the camera thanks in advance

Shouldn't make any difference. I've had glasses since I was a kid for distance vision, and it's not caused me any problems at all with either Canons or Nikons. Wear your specs and leave the dioptre adjustment on the viewfinder set to zero.

Pops on "qualified optician" hat

It depends if you accomodate when you use a camera. I do, and althogh I am a corrected hyperope, I still have to dial in some compensation. if you want the most accurate result, take your camera to an optician, and ask them to pop the chart up - the letters, and the astigmatism chart.. especially the split one with the red and the green; and maybee if they have time a contrast sensitivity chart - the optician will be able to figure out the very best setting for you

I have worn glasses since I was 5. Left eye is short sighted right eye is long sighted. I have glasses for reading and another pair for driving. I have to adjust the viewfinder to suit the glasses. It's not hard, just try it - get the focus marks as sharp as you can by adjusting the dioptre setting, no big deal :)

maybee you do, fairly soon - it could be a sign of diabetes or loads of stress. I dont have anthing to do with diagnosis over the web, your local Optometrist, GP or OMP will for sure be able to do some tests and advise the right thing. But a wandering about prescription is a warniong sign of diabetes. There is technically a reason why stress would make you have to do what you do from week to week

Unfortunatally thats like saying you have a lens you look through. You need to speak with your local Optician and take thier advice

Of course it all depends on wether you wear glasses while shooting, some glasses wearers cant or find it difficult and have to rely on the dioptre.
