I doubt I'm the only one on here that makes his own frame's. I make mine out of old old wood. Have some old Maple and made a coupld 13x19'd from it. Pretty hard and ended up with a few saw burns that were ugly. Decided to paint them black and see what I'd get. Lousy paint job and had to do it over but this time bought "Truck Bed" coating. Rougher texture to hide my screw ups and worked out really well I think. Was thinking of black wrinkle paint but saw this stuff and decided to try it. Just something I though I'd throw in here. Wish I could take a good photo of it but I've never got a good photo of a frame. One more thing, picture I'm putting in has a black vignet and goes great with the frame!

I buy my frames from charity shops, cut all my mounts though.
