Prime for a nikon d40

Now i want a prime lens for a nikon d40 i already have the 50mm prime lens and thats great but it doesnt auto focus and as my manual focus skills arent that great i'd like one that does it for me.

Any suggestions? 50mm focal length isnt important

Depends what you want the lens for Rik, close up, portraits, landscape, wildlife, the lens length will vary greater between all these for a prime lens?

its mostly gonna be for taking pictures of people and possibly used at some gigs

Sigma 30mm f1.4 HSM

MK beat me to it. Sigma has included their HSM on this lens (which will auto-focus on the D40) and it's fast too.
