Prime or zoom?

I prefer primes for sharpness and speed simply but zooms for versatility. I currently don't have any primes but in the future look to get a 17-40, a 50/1.4, an 85/1.8 and a 135 on full frame

Combination for me. The 50mm and 105mm are brilliant but sometimes the flexibility of the 18-200mm wins out!

The versatility of zooms and my restricted budget dictate only a few lenses to cover everything, but I would love to have a large collection of primes over the zooms

Just for the record I'm all about the primes. I've still to build my collection up but the few I have got are the businesses.
