I hope that this post is in the right place. And that someone can solve, this rather anouying problem for me.

I have a kexmark x4690 wireless printer, and the problem is. When I print a photo, the whites have a blueish tint. So can anyone help me, or do I dump the printer, and get a new one.

Thanks for any help.

is it colour correction issue or a ink problem, ive found out recently that when the head start getting dirty they start to incorectly dispense the ink giving a incorrect colour, on the other hand the colour i see on the screen is not the same as what my printer shows.

to correct the later issue i print small, check the colours and adjust in PS CS3.
also clean heads frequently. other than that i dont have a clue (epson sx405)

I had a similar problem with an Epson, was using genuine inks and paper, went through loads of ink doing several cleans and re-cleans as advised by my local Epson service centre - to no avail, fed up and minimal ink left :bang:

I took the plunge and bought a new one

Thanks for the replys.

I think I will do the same, and get a new one. dont need an expencive one. just one for my own use.

I've been very pleased with my new Canon printer - would definately recommend one.
