I have toyed with the idea of printing from home rather than sending off for prints recently with the Canon 9000 the machine that has caught my eye, especially as it has £100 cashback at the moment.

This looks like it is going to happen now as I have had my latest photos back from the lab and they are dreadful.......

totally different colours between the different sizes (even with the same image) some 7x5's came back 71/2 x 5, most of the images cropped (despite fully setup)

I am so not impressed,

Which leads me to the question. Has anyone got one of these machines, or similar (Epson maybe) and have you worked out a rough price per print?

Alternatively do you have any recommendations (again with price per print)

Have you considered a different photo lab?

I will print off the odd print but only if needed that minute. If I need that day then tescos will do, but for 99% of stuff, and all paid work, I use dscl. Fast and great value. When you factor in ink and paper cost I swear it is cheaper to get them done.
