Printing one image on multiple sheets

I Want to print one image over multiple sheets of paper I'm wanting it to be about a3 size but only have an a4 printer is there any way I can do it

I have access to mac and a windows pc in case of software needed
 
by far the easiest way would be to cut it into 2 in photoshop or similar and then print each off.

Why not just upload and print online though? Nothing worse than a great big paper join.
