Iknow this is a daft question, and probably a simple awnser but how do most people print their photos? do you use your own printers or use the machines in the chemists ect??

Thanks Kevin

If you want total control over image quality, then printing your own on a good printer is the way. However you must also take into account the number of images you want to print and the time and efort involved in setting up, managing and using the printer.

I personally use a pro lab as it suits my workflow, and if I'm honest I have no huge desire to sit and print the shots myself. I'd rather be pressing the shutter button.

Thanks, have tried a few printers in the past and suppose you get what you pay for.
What lab do yo use?

If I'm printing a picture for my own use or for one of the family then it's done on my Epson Stylus Color 1400 at home. Client images get printed by a lab but I usually do proofs on the Epson.

The only downside I see to printing at home is the cost per print - much higher than the equivalent from a lab - but if you can live with that then the flexability it gives is well worth it.
