Didn't actually know where to put this, so please feel free to move moddies if it's in the wrong place.......
Anyhoo, when I print my pics, they always turn out darker than they look on the screen.
I don't know a great deal about printing, and my monitor is calibrated.
This is the shots I am attempting to print:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy_foster/4862885612/
and
http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy_foster/4808900837/
(Sorry I can't post the actual images, but I can't do it, now flickr have ballsed up the site..........)
Both images look crap when printed.
I'm using an Epson 1290, high quality glossy paper and genuine Epson inks.
Tried all sorts of different settings, but I cannot afford to keep wasting prints.
Thanks,
