Printing to poster on a 7D

Hi guys,

I am a complete newbie to printing but I am looking at printing off some of my shots at poster size. I've been looking at poster sizes and would roughly want A3/A2. Is this size possible with a 7D?

I know my images sizes are 5184x3456, as an A3 is smaller dimensions than this is that the largest size I can print to without it becoming massively pixelated etc or does it not work like that?

Of course it does depend on what settings you use on your camera. If you shoot in Jpeg basic then you may be struggling a bit but no problem if shooting in RAW. Something to remember as so easily forgotten

I am no expert but in the past year we have had various parts of images blown up from dfifferent company's for parties. eg: a face of an older point and shoot blown up to go on them face mask things. I assumed they would be pants but they came back really well. So I am assuming sending the file off for printing large would be no problem.

I have had a print done from a letterbox crop of one of my pics taken with my 550D (same sensor) that was 30"x12" and it looked fantastic so you will be fine.

I printed a2 off a G12 no worry so yep your camera will be fine
