Hi I am new to this site. And new to photography too. Just wondering if anyone could reccomend where I could have portaits pictures printed?

if you don't want to print yourself then I'd suggest DSCL or get it done locally if you are only getting a couple done.

As above, DS Colour labs are good. Are they ones you've taken yourself? If not, be aware that some places (esp. supermarkets) may ask you to prove you have the permission of the copyright holder.

Yes just ones I have done myself. Been using Maxspeilman or ASDA but just wondered if specialised printers give the pictures more of a professional look?

nope - they pritty much use the same machines
