I was in Plymouth and I forgot my memory card so I bought a 4GB SD card from boots for £20

Its worked fine on the camera if a little slow to write. however when I put it into the card read on the computer it does not work. I've tried three diffrent card readers. The camera can read the card without problems.

Does anybody have a good idea as to how to get the data off of the card?

Cheers Stuart

Can you not plug the camera in to the computer with a USB cable? If the camera can read the card then it makes sense it can send the data to the computer...

If not - then have you tried on a different computer (and/or operating system)?

Does it just not appear or does it come up as blank/corrupt, when plugged in via card reader?

Does your card reader read SDHC ? or does it read only "Normal" SD cards ?

Normal SD readers won't read SDHC.

It's almost definitely an SDHC card by the sounds of it. It won't work in older SD card readers, you'll need a new one if you want to do it that way I'm afraid!

I just save up and buy the best memory I can.
Always go for Extreme 3 CF cards.
The price has come down recently which is even better.

i have never bought cheap memory cards ever since i lost 50 wedding photos at my friends moms ?? wedding but luckily they were copied onto my computer before the card got corrupted.

Mastertrinity, we are British!!
