Problem with my netbook

Well not a problem as such, just it will not let me open DPP, I down loaded it and everytime I try to open it it says the resolution is not big enough, it says it needs 1024x728.
Trouble is my netbook will only go to 1024x600.
So I need a program that will let me open raw files, that will work.
It has elements 7 installed, now can I view all the files on this like you can in DPP or do I need another program???

I looked at lightroom but its bloody expensive, or so it seems the ones I can find over £200.
trouble is the netbook is just going to be used as a storage utensil for when I am on holiday but I would still like to view the pics while there.

Any help will be much appreciated as I am not that good with photoshop elements so ther emight be something in there to do the job

this free program even opens 5Dmk2 RAW when Photoshop CS3 doesnt. thanks for that adobe :|

When on the irfanview site, be sure to also download the codec extension pack.. takes care of all formats known to man pretty much.. invaluable little program.

FastStone will open and edit RAW files as well.
