Just got this yesterday afternoon and despite reeading the manual and Google I think I have set it to all AF points BUT I can only get the center point to light up and use focus. I ddon't get mutiple points in use.

Any help would be apreciated

No... I have the camera set to AF
Lens is 24-105

I was hoping that it's something in the setting I have missed

Only trying it out in the house at the moment and it's a little dimm

Just had a quick go with my 1DX and it uses more than one point in AI servo just bases them around the centre. Perhaps a reset and start again

my battery has died I'm just charging mine up see what itr does lol

Just put in AI servo and it dosn't auto focus... No beep of red AF point lighting... Don't tell me I have a duff one

a Wipe of the contacts on the lens and camera may be worth a try.

Have you selected the correct focus point area using the M-Fn button?

I'm fairly sure it doesn't beep in servo mode and it doesn't always light up focus points, but you can set it to always light up when focus is achieved or not.

I will have a look at mine when I get back in a hour or so. I guess focusing is working fine with all the points in auto mode. Should be the same to set it for the other modes too

The other thing to remember is the focus point will not light up if you are pointing the camera to a bright subject, try something darker inside

Just checked mine, its not a mode I use much myself. but A1 Servo doesn't beep and light up when activated as you would expect its continuous when pointed at something.

If you move the camera about it should light up (not red) as it locks onto something else

I wouldn't know.... Only thing I have it to base on is my 11yr old EOS 1DS so all this is very new to me.... Will work through the settings and get to undrstand the system... Early days but I don't want to complain to Panamoz if it's me

Will try in the morning to see if it's focusing

if your not seeing all your menus you may need to find a USE EXTENDED MENUS BUTTON its on nikons so can't help you find it on a canon hth mike

I think you should read the manual again!

If you want to see the AF points on the rear LCD screen then press the INFO button until you get what looks like the Q screen but isnt exactly the same. When that screen comes up press the AF point select button and the whole array pops up. you can then use the M-FN button to select which you want.

Same for the 1DX as well
