I've just got an external monitor for my Macbook and 'thought' it would be easy enough to use the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse from my iMac with the Macbook and new external monitor. After hours of faffing around the mouse has connected but not the keyboard. The mouse took many attempts to connect and then just randomly decided to connect itself.

If it's of any relevance, the Macbook is a late 2009 model and the iMac a mid 2010 model.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks - Simon.

Thanks for the thought, but the batteries must be ok as it's works fine with the Imac.

After more research it seem's like I might need to unpair the keyboard with the Imac to get it to work with the Macbook. Does anyone know if that is correct?

Thanks...

Thanks Steve. So you do need to 'unpair' the keyboard which is bit of a pain in the rear! :)
