Problems with file browser app on ipad

Hi,

I just got an ipad and bought the file browser app, I cannot connect to my buffalo link station. it's on the list of supported devices and I can connect to it no problem using ES file manager on my HTC desire. on the desire I connect using

192.168.2.8/server then select anonymous. this works fine. however that won't work on the ipad and file browser..

Any ideas on different apps that will work?

I think the problem is that the File Browser app on the iPad will only link to a computer not a remote storage device. File Browser works with my iPad and iMac, but I don't have a remote storage device so can't help further. Can you connect to your computer? You may be able to go down that route to the Link Station

There are some features on the iPad that don't work as you would expect.This may be one of them

I connected it to my NAS, no longer have iPad to remember how I did it however
