Problems with Firefox... help!!

Using Firefox.. when posting and clicking on the add image

It doesn't pop up.. and I can't use the multi quote thingy either.
I can click on the quote button and that works though...
And ideas?

Oh.. the smileys don't work either.

Which ver have you got?
I have sign in with Firfox and it all works OK IE8 8.0.6001.18702 I have to allow scripted windows
my Firfox is 3.0.10
all on Vista SP2

try Tools/Options/Content and see if you havjavascript ticked

Have you been aware of windows updates going on? It may be that has fubar'd something.

It works ok in IE so it's a firefox issue only.

I wouldn't cross it off the potential list though.. MS updates can do mysterious things.

Have you tried running firefox in safe mode in case an add on is causing the behaviour?

Additionally: HAve a look at tools - error console (it might be worth clearing the log and trying the things you mentioned)

Yeah have done all this now and still poo

Daft Q Trev have you got a popup blocker on if you have add http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/ to the exceptions dont know if that will do it but its worth a try

Not daft at all Dave.. but that's the 1st thing I checked.

When I float the cursor over the smilies... it doesn't change to a hand :thumbsdown:

Quick way probably is to log in as another user then they will likely have a different profile.

Sorry, Log in with another username to XP. Then it will treat firefox as a new user and give that account a new firefox profile etc. Or use the profile manager as instructed somewhere in that link. you must be pretty fed up of it not working by now :bang:

I don't know if it's just me but this last week or so has seen a lot of machines "acting up" with no apparent causes. We'll just blame the gremlins.
