Product Photography Software

I can't see any price, how much is it? Lightroom can work tethered to the camera, but it looks like this software cotrols the camera at leats thats the impression it gives.

Canon capture software ( Free on the utilities disk with the camera) will let you set up tethered shooting much as seen on the video. You can them use either DPP or in my case Lightroom to handle the image editing and you have a similar workflow as in the video.

Lightroom will let you shoot tethered anyway, OK you don't have live view but I've never found that to be a real problem. I wouldn't spend the money. I have better solutions.

I'm sure Nikon have something similar to the canon software

I've shot tethered in the past when a jobs required it, to be honest I don't find it an advantage, theres the cable to get in the way, and wireless was painfully slow with large files.

Question when you crop in the software do you loose the cropped area or is it a parametric edit where you can go back at any time and revert to the full frame?
